Why do I love Pilates?

Well, here’s the truth.
I was in a place where I was struggling with pain and my body just didn’t feel right after having five children, I was always in pain with my back and hips and from not really knowing what I was doing in my early training days.
Then completely by chance, a friend asked me to join a Pilates class while I was away at a retreat abroad. I thought I’d give it a go.
From that first class, I was hooked.
It changed how I move, how I train, and how I now combine Pilates with weight training. It completely shifted my approach to my body and wellbeing.
What people don’t always realise is how much everyday life plays a part in how our bodies feel ,carrying kids on your hips, lifting shopping, just general life stuff ,it all adds up over time and can create those little imbalances that turn into pain.
Pilates helped me spot that in my own body before it became a bigger issue again.
And honestly, Pilates can be fun, it can be uplifting, especially when you’ve got an instructor who brings good energy to a class.
